About Tumbling

What’s the difference between tumbling class and gymnastics class? Gymnastics students learn and perform skills on equipment like the uneven bars, rings, vault and balance beam as well as floor exercises. Where Tumbling is a form of gymnastics that is performed on the floor or on a trampoline, it’s commonly known as floor gymnastics. Tumbling skills are learned using equipment like foam pits, wedges, trampolines, spotting blocks, spring floors and mats. At Gymco, our Tumbling and Gymnastics students gain coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, agility and endurance while also developing strong arms, legs, shoulders, back and abdominal muscles.
