FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you’re new to gymnastics and new to Gymco, the best way to start is to sign up for a free trial. This way, you can experience Gymco for yourself at no cost, with no obligation. When you’re ready to sign up, stop by the front desk, give us a call or complete your registration online on the Gymco class list. If you have any questions, email us or call (616) 956-0586.

Students pay an annual membership fee to participate in classes at Gymco ($65 for the whole family). As a Gymco member, you’ll receive discounts on our programs, events, birthday parties, and more. Your membership fee and your first month’s tuition are due at enrollment. Tuition for most classes at Gymco is $80 per month. Discounts are available for siblings and students taking more than one class. You can join a class anytime during the month; your first month’s tuition will be prorated if joining mid-month.

Children age 1-5 are placed in a class based on their age. Children age 6-18 are grouped in classes according to their skill level. If you’re not sure which class is right for your child, we can help you find classes that meet your child’s skills & ability. Just contact us to schedule an evaluation. As skills are mastered, your instructor will recommend a more advanced class. If you have any questions about this process, your child’s instructor would be happy to answer questions specific to your child.

Most Gymco classes are 55 minutes, once-a-week. We offer a school year session (September-May) and a summer session (June-August.) You can join and drop a class at any time throughout these sessions (see drop policy below). Gymco has many classes to choose from, and you can easily change your class day and time if needed throughout the session. Just find another class on the Parent Portal or let us know.

A credit card is required when you sign up for classes. Tuition is charged automatically to your credit card on the 1st of each month. Tuition payments apply to the CURRENT month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, a $15 late fee is charged. If tuition is not paid by the 3rd class of the month, the student may be dropped from the class. You can check your account balance and charge the credit card on your account on the Parent Portal.

No problem! Gymco offers unlimited make-ups. You’ll receive a credit for any class your child misses, AND you have a choice: 2 open gym passes, or you can schedule a make-up class. Open gym passes never expire, and you can use them to play at any Gymco open gym, Monday–Saturday from noon–1 pm. Bring a friend or play at open gym twice; your two passes can be used however you want. Or, you can make up the class another day. Gymco has an extensive schedule of classes Monday–Saturday. We are sure to have a class that fits your child’s age, skill level, and your schedule. You can see your absences on the Parent Portal and schedule a make-up class at the front desk, by phone at (616) 956-0586 or by email.

Gymco classes are run on two sessions (school year/September-May and summer/June-August), and your child will continue to be enrolled in their current session unless you request to be dropped from the class. Drop notice should be sent via email to officeteam@gymco.com

You may drop from next month’s class any time before the 15th of the month. If we do not receive a withdrawal request by the 15th, your student is enrolled in the class for the next month, and tuition will be charged. (for example, if you request to drop a class on June 21st, you will be charged for July’s tuition, and the student will be dropped beginning in August). Tuition is non-refundable, and we do not prorate tuition for drops.
