History

teaching children to love fitness for 39 years

Gymco was founded in 1980. Our first classes in a barn behind the Luther Village Retirement Home on 32nd Street.

Doreen Bolhuis and Shannon Morris, the owners of Gymco, are both professional leaders in the gymnastic and sport community both state and nationwide.

Gymco was established to provide gymnastic training in a positive, healthy environment. In our 30th year of Gymco, we have added multiple sport programs for children, adults, schools, and churches. Gymco has grown from our humble beginnings to a 16000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, and has been recognized with numerous awards. We continue to add new and innovative programs that teach athletic skills and build confidence.

Some kids are naturally athletic, and they like to learn new ways to show off and build on their existing skills – they like that Gymco’s classes can challenge them, and help them grow. Some kids are cautious and like the way we teach at a comfortable pace – they like the way Gymco’s gymnastics classes teach them just the skills they’re ready to learn. Check out a FREE trial class and you’ll see how Gymco’s stress-free environment is a friendly place for your child. Whether you’re interested in gymnastics for tots, gymnastics for preschoolers, gymnastics for school-age kids, gymnastics for tweens or gymnastics for teens, Gymco is the best gymnastics facility for kids to get stronger inside and out. Gymco also teaches tumbling, freestyle and aerial arts classes, as well as gymnastics workshops, tumbling workshops, and gymnastics clinic for kids and adults.
