How do I enroll in a class?
You can enroll in a class on our website, by phone or at the front desk (see office hours). If you have any questions, email officeteam@gymco.com or call (616) 956-0586

How much do I need to pay to enroll in a class? 
All students pay an annual membership fee to participate in classes at Gymco. Your membership fee and your first month’s tuition is due at enrollment. As a Gymco member, you will receive discounts on our programs & events, learn more at Gymco membership

When do classes begin?
At Gymco, classes run year-round. You can join a class anytime. If you join a class in the middle of the month your first month’s tuition is prorated.

How much is class tuition?
Tuition for classes at Gymco is $71 per month. (with a few exceptions including independent 2’s, homeschool & 2-hour classes)  See tuition & availability details for each class at Gymco classes

How do I pay tuition each month?  
Tuition is charged automatically to your credit card on the 1st of each month. Tuition payments apply to the CURRENT month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, a $15 late fee will be charged. If tuition is not paid by the 3rd class of the month, the student may be dropped from the class. Please contact our office if you would like to pay your monthly tuition by cash or check. (returned checks will incur a $25 fee)

Which class is right for my child?
Children age 5 and under are placed in class based on their age (parent & tot classes for age 1-3, and gymnastics classes for 3, 4 and 5-year olds). Children age 6+ are placed in class according to their skill level. If you’re not sure which class is right for your child, call us at (616) 956-0586 or email: officeteam@gymco.com. If your child has previous gymnastics experience we can schedule an evaluation to make sure the class meets your child’s skills and ability.

When will my child be moved to a more advanced class?
When your child (age 5 and younger) has a birthday, we will recommend a class that suits their age. As students age 6-18 progress and master their skills, their instructor will recommend them for a more advanced class. If you have any questions about this process, your child’s instructor is happy to answer questions specific to your child.

How long are classes?
Gymco classes are 55 minutes long and meet once a week.  (with a few exceptions, some advanced classes are 2 hours long)

How many weeks are classes?
Gymco classes run all year long, we don’t have a set number of weeks or months of class. You can sign up your child any time of the year, and drop the class any time of the year. If you need to change your class time, we can find another class that suits your schedule, just let us know!

What if my child misses a class?
No problem! Gymco offers unlimited make-ups. You’ll receive a credit for any class your child misses, AND you have a choice: 2 open gym passes or you can schedule a make-up class. Open gym passes never expire, and you can use them to play at any Gymco open gym, Monday – Saturday from noon -1 pm. Bring a friend or play at open gym twice, your two passes can be used however you want. Or, you can make up the class another day. Gymco has a large schedule of classes Monday – Saturday, we are sure to have a class that fits your child’s age, skill level, and your schedule. What should my child wear to class?
Students should wear comfortable clothing that is free is zippers & snaps…no jeans, jewelry, skirts, dresses or capes. Plan to be in socks or bare feet. (dress rules apply to parents too if it’s a parent & tot class!) We have many styles of leotards and t-shirts available for purchase in our store. Hair should be pulled back into a ponytail if possible. If they wear glasses, they can wear them to class and take them off if needed.

How do I drop a class?
Gymco classes continue all year long, and your child will continue to be enrolled unless you change classes or drop from the class. You may drop from next month’s class any time before the 15th of the month. If we do not receive a withdrawal request by the 15th, your student is enrolled in the class for the next month and tuition will be charged. (for example, if you request to drop a class on June 21st, you will be charged for July’s tuition, and the student will be dropped beginning in August). Tuition is non-refundable and we cannot prorate tuition for drops.

What are your office hours?
Our summer hours (between Memorial Day & Labor Day) are: Monday – Thursday: 9am-6:30pm, Friday: 9am – 4pm, Saturday: 9am – 12:30pm, and we are closed on Sundays. Please note: Gymco is open for classes, clinics, events, field trips and birthday parties at night, and on the weekends even when our office is closed. The building will be open, and our instructors or event staff will be here…but there won’t be staff at the front desk. What’s the difference between a class and a clinic or workshop?
Classes are ongoing and students continue until they change or drop from the class. Clinics and workshops are for a certain day or a number of weeks. Gymco offers clinics throughout the year including 2-hour back handspring clinics, 1 1/2 hour cartwheel clinics, 2-hour bike clinics and more.

Can my child take more than one class per week?
Absolutely! Your child can take 2 gymnastics classes or a gymnastics class and a specialized class such as tumbling, freestyle or aerial arts. Girls age 6 – 18 may participate in Gymco’s Competitive Team program, your daughter is interested in this life-changing opportunity, learn more at Gymco Competitive Team

Where is Gymco located?
There is only one Gymco! And we are located off East Paris between 28th St and Burton (next to Ridge Park Academy), the address is 2306 Camelot Ridge Court SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. map to Gymco
