How do I sign up for a class?
If you’re new to gymnastics and new to Gymco, the best way to start is to sign up for a free trail, this way you can experience Gymco for yourself for no cost, with no obligation. When you’re ready to sign up, stop by the front desk, give us a call (see office hours) or complete your registration online on the Gymco class list. If you have any questions, email officeteam@gymco.com or call (616) 956-0586.

How much does it cost to enroll in a class?
Students pay an annual membership fee to participate in classes at Gymco ($45 for one student or $59 for the whole family). As a Gymco member, you’ll receive discounts on our programs, events, birthday parties and more. Your membership fee and your first month’s tuition is due at enrollment. Tuition for most classes at Gymco is $72 per month. Discounts are available for siblings and students taking more than one class. You can join a class anytime during the month, your first month’s tuition will be prorated.

Which class is right for my child?
Children age 1-5 are placed in a class based on their age. Children age 6-18 are placed in class according to their skill level. If you’re not sure which class is right for your child we can help you find class meets your child’s skills & ability, just contact us to schedule an evaluation. As skills are mastered, your instructor will recommend a more advanced class. If you have any questions about this process, your child’s instructor would be happy to answer questions specific to your child

How long are the classes? How many weeks are classes? When do classes begin?
Gymco classes are 55 minutes, once a week, all year. You can join and drop a class at any time of the year (see drop policy below). Gymco has lots of classes to choose from and you can change your class day & time at any time. Just find another class on the parent portal or let us know.

How do I pay tuition?
A credit card is required when you sign up for classes. Tuition is charged automatically to your credit card on the 1st of each month. Tuition payments apply to the CURRENT month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, a $15 late fee is charged. If tuition is not paid by the 3rd class of the month the student may be dropped from the class. You can check your account balance and change the credit card on your account on the parent portal 

What if my child misses a class?
No problem! Gymco offers unlimited make-ups. You’ll receive a credit for any class your child misses, AND you have a choice: 2 open gym passes or you can schedule a make-up class. Open gym passes never expire, and you can use them to play at any Gymco open gym, Monday – Saturday from noon -1 pm. Bring a friend or play at open gym twice, your two passes can be used however you want. Or, you can make up the class another day. Gymco has a large schedule of classes Monday – Saturday, we are sure to have a class that fits your child’s age, skill level, and your schedule. What should my child wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in (and be prepared to be upside down!) No zippers snaps, jeans, jewelry, skirts or dresses. Plan to be in socks or bare feet. (parents too if it’s
a parent & tot class!) Long hair should be pulled back into a ponytail. Glasses may be worn to class. We have leotards and t-shirts available for purchase in our store. 

How do I drop a class?
Gymco classes continue all year long, and your child will continue to be enrolled unless you change classes or drop from the class. You may drop from next month’s class any time before the 15th of the month. If we do not receive a withdrawal request by the 15th, your student is enrolled in the class for the next month and tuition will be charged. (for example, if you request to drop a class on June 21st, you will be charged for July’s tuition, and the student will be dropped beginning in August). Tuition is non-refundable and we cannot prorate tuition for drops.

What are Gymco’s hours?
Gymco has classes Monday – Thursday morning to night. and morning classes on Friday and Saturday. We are OPEN for events, clinics, workshops, parties, field trips, day camp and other programs all day long Monday thru Saturday (see our event calendar or your party/field trip invitation for the time of your specific event). Gymco’s office is open Mon-Thurs 9am to 6:30pm, Friday until 4pm, and Saturdays 10am to 12:30pm. Gymco is closed Sundays.

What’s the difference between a class and a clinic or workshop?
Classes are ongoing, students continue until they change or drop from the class. Clinics & workshops are for a certain day or a number of weeks. Gymco offers clinics throughout the year including 2-hour back handspring clinics, 1 1/2 hour cartwheel clinics, 2-hour bike clinics and more.

Can my child take more than one class per week?
Absolutely! You can combine gymnastics with tumbling, freestyle or aerial arts.  Or if your child is up for more of a challenge he or she can participate in Gymco’s Competitive Team program, learn more about this life-changing opportunity Gymco Competitive Team

Where is Gymco located?
There is only one Gymco! We’re located off East Paris between 28th St and Burton (next to Ridge Park Academy), the address is 2306 Camelot Ridge Court SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546
