Gymco introduces Circus Arts programming
Our new Circus Arts classes provide a creative opportunity for anyone to gain fitness while having fun. The Circus Arts will introduce participants to a magical place of fun and adventure. It will give students the opportunity to express themselves in a new way and explore the art of clowning as a performer, gymnast or just for fun
Aerial Arts Class: “Cirque du Soleil” type class teaches students age 10 to adult to use long silk fabrics to wrap and suspend their bodies in many shapes. Aerial Silks participants gain strength, flexibility and spatial awareness. Weekly aerial silks classes are on Tuesdays at 7:15 pm.
Clown classes are taught by Gideon Sanders, a graduate of Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Clown College and former professional clown. Clown students will discover their own clown persona, design their clown face, develop clown skits and ultimately participate in an end of session performance.
Circus Arts Family Event: Families will be able to participate in several circus arts activities, including clowning, juggling, aerial arts and more. The event will be held at Gymco on Saturday, July 29th. More information coming soon!
Gymco’s purpose in developing the Circus Arts program is to:
